Galeria Elian is an online gallery for Caribbean Artists and Designers. It features some of the most custom designs from some of the most remote locations in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and with its growth, art from all the other Caribbean islands will use it as their main portal to display their art to the world and international market.Galeria Elian's mission is to bring together Caribbean artists who are underrepresented in the global market. These artists are natural born painters and sculptors and would otherwise not be able to share their work to a global market, and even more so, with the world.Galeria Elian provides venues to promote these artists and their work, which in turn can enable them to benefit from the global economy. Monies made from the art sales go towards helping the artists perfect their craft and provide scholarships for youths interested in the arts.The Gallery can be found in two locations, the first is in the city of La Romana, and the second is in Second Life, a virtual reality world where millions of visitors share a common vision. |

PROYECTO ALEGRE consiste en un grupo de jóvenes que se ha unido para ayudar a niños necesitados, llevándoles regalos de navidad. En PA tenemos dos simples pero muy importante metas:
(1) Llevarles a los niños mas necesitados de La Romana un regalo de navidad y hacer que la navidad para ellos sea lo que tiene que ser; la época mas feliz del año.
(2) Crear una oportunidad para aquellas personas que tienen los recursos, el tiempo y el interés de ayudar. Queremos crear conciencia sobre el potencial que cada uno de nosotros tenemos como individuos.
Que hacemos?
Este año será nuestro cuarto año. En Diciembre del 2007 les llevamos regalos a más de 70 niños de un batey de La Romana. Durante "el evento" jugamos, bailamos e hicimos rifas. Luego de pasar el día compartiendo con los niños le entregamos sus regalos.
Los regalos son simplemente una caja de zapatos con artículos de necesidad para niños (un juguete, lápiz, crayón, borra, gorra, t-shirt, cepillo de dientes, pasta de dientes y muchísimas cosas mas que les será muy útil a los niños).
Este año tenemos como meta ayudar a 110 niños y para esto vamos a necesitar de tu ayuda. Si tienes juguetes, ropa para niños, o cualquier otro artículo que ya no necesites puedes cooperar con Proyecto Alegre y hacer a alguien feliz esta navidad. Si no encuentras nada que regalar entonces nos puedes contactar para donaciones monetarias. |
